S3C Front Brake Caliper - Paint

As the front suspension is in bits in the garage, I was thinking of tidying the brake callipers by applying a lick of paint.
Has any one else done this as I was wondering what colour to paint them and if this required any special paint?
Any suggestions or pictures would be appreciated.

I used a small tin of high temp paint from halfords "bright red" been on about 12 months now still looks good.

I painted both the front callipers & rear brake drums with Hammerite smooth bright red and still looking like new after about 14 months now.

A fiend of mine always uses standard paint and says its always been fine.

Looks like it will have to be red on mine as well then! Just stripped one front suspension down yesterday and wondering exactly the same thing about the calipers! Hammerite smooth worked OK on a previous car although I will etch prime the steel first.

You can actually get special brake caliper paint but it is expensive and a waste of money, I always found that hammerite always lost its colour over a period of time.
The best thing i have found is engine block enamel last time i bought some it was about £4.99 a tin which was enough to give everything two coats comes in loads of colours (inc red and blue) and keeps its looks for ages.
