Had mine for around 20 mths and still miss it. Sold my S1 in 2003 but everytime I see one on the road I want another.

Anyway, I'm wondering how may, like me, visit the forum despite not currently owning.

Had mine just over a year before I sold it, used it daily and did around 17k miles in that time. I will own another...but the next one will have a decent engine in it smile

Kept the first on 11 months swapped into a 111R and had that for just over 3 years and counting. No plans to sell it.

wavey 20 months. Don't regret a moment and had without question the best motoring experiences of my life in it. Got to the point around June last year where it just wasn't getting used and justice was not being done either way

Stunning, stunning cars and I will have another one day when funds and circumstance allow a 'complete toy'

Had my Elise S1 for almost exactly 3 years and am now starting to think about changing it. Was thinking of something a bit more practical (and German I'm afraid), but I took an Exige S out when I took mine in for its last service and I'm thinking about that instead.

Am doing about 10k miles a year at the moment, and not all of it in the best of conditions (the odd trek to Preston from SW London) so I'm not sure whether the M6 in the wet on AO48s is the best idea, but it was deeply impressive.

Would be useful not to have to change my forum name as well.

Ohh.... I am a stayer then, nearly 4.5 years laugh - great car, I doubt I will own any other car which was such a pleasure to own and drive. bounce

As I have mentioned on another thread here recently - life sometime gets in the way of car ownership, I would like to think I will have another one day - maybe an older S1 as a trackday toy. driving

17 months and counting. No plans to change it.

A bit sad owning one during winter months, have to endure all its negatives with little opportunity to take advantage of its positives.

But now its changing to spring time, that all changes, and its worthwhile again yesdriving

Still on my first one after 8.5 years. Every modification re-ignites my interest. And after 8.5 years it owes me nothing. Most reliable car I've ever had.

Only for 5 months and 1 week so far, but I'm loving every minute of it (even when the weather is crap). I plan on keeping it for at least 3 years, then after that, who knows.

Six years with my S1 with 135 upgrade. Fantastic car. (You can buy it at www.carbridge.co.uk)

Thought we'd never part, then I fell in love with the much maligned Europa

2.5 years for the 111R so far.

Currently debating an upgrade at the 3 year mark or keep it, decisions!

Had both mine for about a year each.

I may consider another variant in the future (Elise SC or 2-11, possibly, once they've been thrught the worst part of their depreciation curve), but for the moment the Lotus itch is being scratched very well by my Elan.
