Well after trying to keep the Porsche despite the wife's constant nagging that I was being selfish and that the kids are too big to ride safely in the back, I have finally agreed to let it go and instead have bought a Jan '07 R R Sport.

Now I do understand her arguements, but I have really enjoyed the Porsche and so I have very mixed feelings about letting it go.

So I will later this week be picking up a R R Sport and despite enjoying the test ride, I'm just a little concerned that it will be a disappointment to run.

So, has anyone got one and can you give me your impressions of living with one please?

I'll still have a motorbike and so can still have nippier ride outs etc.

Maybe next time, I'll go for the bigger diesel engine.

Hi Davel
Feels underpowered especially after driving the V8 version
I'd recommend getting the engine chipped which adds approx 50bhp and makes a big difference

I would recommend getting the Diesel V8 instead of chipping, tuning, tweaking, etc,we did and have not regretted buying it over the V6 and no issues with messing up your warranty which chipping will do.

Too late bro. Why buy the TDV6? You should go for the TDV8! Not the best family car IMHO. Great for 2 adults, but if you want a family wagon, the Discovery 3 would have been the way to go. 7 seats, plenty of room and various spec. levels. You could have bought a used one and kept the Porsche.

Panic buy?

Not really.

The wife didn't want the 7 seats as we'd have to take her parents out with us!

I like the Range Rover Sport and the TD6 is much kinder BIK wise.

The bike is better fun wise!
