Bluetooth phone prep on a new 320D SE..."aftermarket"?

I've just ordered a new 320D SE as a company car, however the monthly lease budget set by my company won't stretch to having BMW's excellent £500.00 bluetooth car kit fitted.
However, as the BMW Professional stereo is there, the steering wheel controls are there, the wiring loom is there and the stereo even gives prompts/menus for the phone, I'm guessing all it needs is either a very small piece of hardware, or perhaps a software tweak or unlock somewhere. I'm not bothered about the cradle/charger.
Does anyone know if this is feasible or if there are any specialists out there offering this service?

I suspect there will be a way to do it for less. For instance as you have already pointed out you have no need for the fin or cradle so in theory it is just a bluetooth thing that integrates with the radio.
The other option is a parrot or the like.. There must be one that will integrate with the existing controls.

I currently drive an old shape BMW (previous model to current shape) and I have a Parrot 3200 LS Colour. My car is an ES so it has no steering wheel controls but it does mute the stereo etc as I bought the BMW interface DIN conversion
So are you saying that I could take that kit or buy a new one, get it installed into my new 320D SE and the factory fitted BMW buttons on teh wheel will work?
Do you know if I need to keep the converter lead I needed to buy for the old car to work with the current BMW Professional system?

Are you asking me? Sorry, I've no idea, if you are! One thing, of course it takes all incoming but as for making calls you either have to dial on the phone or you can dial the last number you rang by prsssing a button on the wheel. Reception, reliabiity is great and we have 3 or 4 phones synched to it.
Have you got a little dash mounted Parrot console?

No there is no console. you wouldn't know there was anything until it beeps as it connects.
If the phone rings you press the button with a face and sound symbol. To end call you press telephone symbol. To dial last number you press and hold first button. It rings and also repeats whatever message tone you have, whilst mutng the radio. If the phone is on silent, everything goes quiet and you wonder what's happening!!
If you can wait until tomorrow I will find out the model and post it.
