I need a little help please

Chaps! On another posting (car cover) I have commisioned Specialised Car Covers of Shipley West Yorkshire to make me a cover.

However they can't find a car to get a pattern off, so first question is, is there a VXR dealer in that region, or second question, is there an owner on here that lives close to there and wouldn't mind if they came a long and took measurements off of their car.

As the CV8 does not have a boot spoiler, that may hinder the sizing up....

Thank you so much for the offer, sadly as BO55 has pointed out mine has the rear spoiler, and as this is a tailored cover it will be a miss match.

Tell me please who is your nearest VXR dealer, and how far away from you are they, as they are fully prepared to travel a few miles to get the patern.

Sorry B055, but not entirely true - my 05 CV8 has a factory fitted boot spoiler.

I have a VXR and am about 10 miles away from Shipley, being in Wyke (BD12), nearest VXR dealers are Derby or Newcastle, both are a long way away! They're quite welcome to come and measure mine or alternateivly I'm often passing through Shipley on business and could call in (if it won't take too long)!

I am sure that they will after this one, as I have been so lucky that one of the members of this forum that lives within a few miles of the factory has agreed to have his car used as the pattern block. Thanks again Paul.

I am having a special one tailored to my own design (colours and logo) this one is purely an indoor cover, but yes they do, do outdoor covers as well, and now they have the pattern, the price should be reasonable.

Just to give you an idea as a "one off" they have charged me £227.37

Take a look on their web site, which is a good one, and the covers are made in this country which is why I chose that company, other companies were having them made in europe.
