06 Gallardo Exhaust Quick silver vs Tubi

Hi Just got my Gallardo and i am wandering what to do with the exhaust . Although it sounds really cool, after listening to some of the tubi vids on utube i am thinking of fitting one . A non franchised Lambo dealer told me the new titanium quicksilver system is better does anyone have any experience of these . Also some of the American sites keep on about pluging the exhaust valve vacuum pipe can anyone enlarge on this?

Helena, am guessing the american sites are referring to having the valves permanently opened? If so, it's apparently an easy job to do & involves disconnecting the vacuum pipe (few other details I'm sure but I avoid tinkering anywhere near engine bays after having had so many fires in my track cars!)

If the ECU can stand it, then that in itself is a nice upgrade and gives a good bark on start up and tick over, but my ecu said no

I spent a long time trying to decide which exhaust to fit to my gallardo,but finaly decided on tubi as it seems to be the most common type fitted to gallardos and gives the best sound in my opinion.If you decide to change your exhaust give me a shout as i can do the change for £250.I have three tubi stage 2 exhausts on order at the moment and should be fitting the first one this week you could always come and hear it for yourself if your local to Telford.

If it helps, i have a set of Decat pipes for sale?! I would certainly recommend them!!! Especially with the Tubi!!

Is the 06 onwards stock exhaust not very similar to a Tubi anyway ?

On 06 car the valves bypass the silencer at approx 3500rpm, it`s loud but not tunefull, got a tubi coming for mine
