I've broken it. boks

I was still loosing coolant at a higher rate then normal, so I ran it in the garrage and it looks like I had a small leak from the rad bleed screw.

SO, I bled it as described in the bible (again), and tightened the bleed screw nice and tight. In doing so I broke it (bleed screw mounting seems to be broken off). Coolant just leaks out from bleed screw hole when topping up the swirl tank. Bleed screw goes round, but does not come out or tighten.

Question is, what now? Can it be repaired or is it a new radiator job? Is there any way I can temporarily seal it with anything in order to get it to the dealer (40 miles away)?

Any advice greatfully received, as always.

The bleed screw fitting on mine broke last year, a local garage managed to solder it back onto the radiator and everything was ok.
Does the fitting actually come off? It sounds like the thread is broken if it just turns round without tightening or coming out.
Not sure about a temporary seal, I managed to put a cork in the hole, but then I was only going about 1/2 mile.

I did the same a while ago, but thankfully under warranty and the easiest solution was for me to swap out the radiator....

Thanks guys,

Looks like it's a trip to the dealers on the back of an RAC wagon for me.
