Osram Nightbreakers
Discussion
Fitted Nightbreakers into my headlamps at weekend, and found out why I have not found my originals that bad in the first place. My originals turned out to be 100w/80w halogens.
Still went ahead and fitted 60w/55w Osram Nightbreakers, and although the difference is not dramatic, they still appear to be better, though fog has made judgement difficult. Saving 50W on low beam so less strain on the battery during daily commute and better for environment.
Will fit LED sidelights when they arrive, had wrong ones so wheels off again..
Anyone wanting to buy the Osram bulbs should search for H4 Nightbreaker on e-bay. Mine were under £15, but you can pay twice that from stores.

Plus it'll probably help prevent your wiring from melting.Still went ahead and fitted 60w/55w Osram Nightbreakers, and although the difference is not dramatic, they still appear to be better, though fog has made judgement difficult. The last time I was looking in at the lights I remember thinking the cables may not be able for anything stronger than the 55/60's.

You're driving a cerbera! As you drive down a road do you not notice the birds dying and falling out the trees behind you.
It was at night though, and the headlamps probably caused retinal damage

I have a bill somewhere in my history for replacing the wiring and, I think, the relays after a previous owner had fitted the wrong bulbs. Can't remember the actual wattage quoted, but I think it was near 100 or so.The last time I was looking in at the lights I remember thinking the cables may not be able for anything stronger than the 55/60's.

Buffoon, on the subject of sidelights, does your cerb have the original lights or the quad Tuscan style? I'm after a pair of new sidelights for my Tuscan styley cerb and can't seem to find them. One is cracked and is threatening to fall out. Will want to fit LED bulbs as well, the current ones look yellow/cr@p. Anyone know a source for the lights themselves and the type of bulb to order?Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
