Do digital cameras lose their edge?

Just a quicky really.

I bought a Cannon Ixus i (4Mp) a few years a go, from new. At the time i was amazed by the clarity and richness of the images captured.


I have dug it out after not using it for at least a year and for some reason it just doesn't cut it.

Could it be the settings? age of the camera? the fact that we have moved on so much in the last 4-5 years?



p.s. After seeing the sunset last night all i could think about was what wonderful images would be on PH that evening.

Its possible you have dust or something in the camera...or perhaps you now need glasses
