am absolutely amazed with what they've managed to do with it. Have been out and about most of the weekend including attending the Sunday Service and have now realised the potential of the thing. There are some snaps on the pistonheads sunday service thread.

Had new 6 pot front brakes, 18 inch tarmacs, scooby clinics power package 3, decatted turbo up-pipe, uprated clutch, front-mounted intercooler and (much to my shame) atmospheric dump valve. The noise that comes from the rear and the front is now phenomenal.

Dyno results show it peaks at 350 BHP with 310 flbs torque. A bit laggier than previous but as soon as the boost starts to kick in you really have to hold on tight!

My thanks goes out to all the guys at scoobyclinic who have done a sterling job.

I posted this below on gassinG (general) but yr threads seems pretty close, any general comments appreciated?

Hi,

does anyone here have any direct knowledge and experience of the various tuning packs available for the 2.5L Impreza WRX?

I know that the options are

1. Prodrive Pack (circa 260 BHP at a rather expensive 1700 pounds) which doesn't invalidate the warranty...

2. Power Engineering (not sure yet of costs and output)

3. Greenwood Racing Developments (GRD)
WRX Stage 1 Tuning Package - £1,625.00 inc. VAT (290BHP - 300BHP ) TEMPTING.......

4. Powerstation Street Legal Package (MY 2006 on)
EcuTek Re-Map
3" Milltek Exhaust with Sports CAT
K&N Filter
~290bhp @ £1399
inc. Comprehensive Warranty ( VERY VERY VERY Tempting)

Really I would love to hear from any owners who have had any of these packs fitted so I can make an informed choice, rather than with my heart..hehehe....which cries out for circa 290.......but the warranty freindly Prodrive option is still a possible!

I don't want to love the easy driving nature of the vehicle.

Thanks

I think that was covered in depth a month or so ago IIRC. Do a search through JapChat for Powerstation or something and you'll find it.
