Golf GTI 2008 year model - free options included

Hi I normally live on the Aston forum but my wife has ordered a Golf GTI and has picked up rumblings that the 2008 year model is coming loaded with some additions which had been options from 2008 week 6 build onwards? This includes full leather, centre arm rest and highline computer. If you have ordered a car in January the dealers are apparently giving up to £1,000 off the cars price if you speced it with Interlagos cloth. Has anyone heard anything. It's been discussed in great depth on Tyresmoke. It seems they are running out the GTI with the Edition 30 becoming the standard model until the release of the MK6 sometime next year

Spoke with the dealer we ordered the car this morning. 2008 GTi does come with standard leather and arm rest, which my wife will now be getting. Though the block and suspension upgrades from the Edition 30 are not carried over. The mods come into force this week. Apparantly the block used in the 30 is from the Audio S3 to get the extra 30 bhp.
