managed to drain my battery, stupidly left an electrical accessory connected when I shouldnt

can't get a jump lead to the battery negative terminal - where else can i connect the black jump lead to?!

The lug on the air con compressor is the usual point that I use.

This is where I show how little I know.

I leave my trickle charger's negative connecter attached to a metal part at the top of the engine towards the front, in front of the two flat rails...

I have no idea what it's called, but it does the job. Dave

That'll be the front of the fuel rail. And yes it works.

The engine is earthed, so therefore the block and anything attached to it, such as the body of the air-con compressor is also earthed. You're just looking for a bare piece of metal attached to the block/heads.
