I've just gotten home with my new S3C after travelling half way around britain over the last few days I finally found one I wanted. Red with black interior loverly.
By the way any of you guys out and about near Winchester today I saw two S3's in convoy around there while i was on my way to look at my baby.
Als any suggestions as to the best place to get my alloys polished up there a little tatty.

Nice one Mike!! welcome to the clan!!

My S3 has been my only mode of transport over Christmas, so I've enjoyed the xmas visits moreso than normal.

Johno (Mark) has previously posted about a good place to have the OZ wheels polished.

Cheers,

Dave.

Well done, about a month ahead of me then If you were near Winchester (M3?) today did you pick up the car from the Bournemouth area?
Just curious as I'm looking at the mo and wondered, if it's not too nosy, if you could let me know the details of the car (off line via my profile if you prefer?) to help me with my purchase.

Happy driving

Congratulations Mike,

Well done - the S series are great TVRs. I know of a couple of places that will refurbish wheels - where abouts are you ?

Assuming you have the Oz spoked wheels, they were originally diamond polished and some places can't do this and will repaint them instead which most people don't rate as much.

Cheers,
JSG

Mike cheers for the mail.

Does it have a S4 type bonnet (no scoop)? unfortunately garage not rebuilt yet as I might have gone for that one myself, living just down the road on the sunny south coast (no snow, hardly any frost).

Happy driving, hope to be joining you all v soon but not soon enough

Mike,

The recomendations I'd been given were Elite Wheels in Reading and Micheldever Tyres in Hampshire - both a bit far for you.

It may be worth talking to the local TVRCC members for their recemondations or ringing a few tyre specialists and asking if they do diamond polishing.

Cheers,
JSG

Congrats Mike, you won't regret it. There may be times you question your sanity, but I assure you will not regret it !!!

As for wheel refurbishment I use Lepsoms at Gillingham (Kent). This is probably a little far for yourself, although they do a superb job.

Cheers
