Le Mans Tram System map / Layout???????

Does anybody have a layout of the Le Mans Tram system showing all the stations, that they could post here? Can't seem to find one on't tinternet.

I use the setram site for the bus/tram plan, it has the advantage over t1grm's in that you can zoom in for more detail if required. I think SETRAM usually have an English language section nearer the 24 hours detailing transport to & from the town centre.

Sorry for sounding like a really thick woman, but am I right in thinking that the nearest tram station to the track will be somewhere at the top of the Mulsanne straight?

Sounds about right! Although I remember seeing trams go past Houx roundabout last year, so it might be a little closer to this... Probably next to the big Antares building I reckon. Their plan isn't exactly to scale to be honest!

I'm sure Lowdrag will be around in a bit to tell you exactly where it is!

From memory its a couple of hundred yards from the tunnel under Tetre Rouge heading away from the track. Spent quite a long time looking at it last year ...........as we queued to leave the track......in the p1ss1ng rain.

It's hard to say where the stops will be during the race, but looking at the tramway on google earth, the line stays on the outside of tertre rouge, passing under the autoroute sliproad. Goes past the depot (on the outside of the Mulsanne) then goes under the Mulsanne between postes 21 & 31 to the back of Antares, which is normally the terminus of the tram line.

It may be that during the race (for no other reason than ticketing) the final stop may be that one shown as Guetteloup. Pedestrian access to the circuit was always available at Terte Rouge. Otherwise new access point at Antares tramstop?

I wonder if they'll be laying on more services – like on Friday afternoon when people want to get into town to see the parade? It's a bit of a bun fight trying to get a bus in there...

The tram terminus is at Antares, yes. A new tunnel takes you straight onto the Bugatti circuit at Garage Vert, where a new circuit entrance (with disabled access) is being built. The next stop is on the second roundabout north of the Tetre Rouge bar.
Trams run every 4 minutes or so at peak times (which will hopefully include the run-up to the drivers' parade!)

Saw the trams last year? I need to drink what you were on - they didn't start running until November! The main terminus is at Antares, the flying saucer shaped building at the first roundabout south of Tertre Rouge. There is ample car parking and the tram will take you all the way into the main town square for £1 each way. Highly recommended for the friday drivers parade! Trams run every five minutes or so - probably more during race time. There are plans to extend the line to Arnage but that won't be for a few years yet. Allow 30 mins each way for the journey.

The tram carriages were sat in one of the car park type areas over towards Houx area. Not sure exactly where 'cos we were a bit 'merry' and on push bikes trying to avoid the BiB but they were definately over that why somewhere! Don't think they were on the tracks just sat about waiting for them to finish!

Did anybody else notice the strange way that they were building the tramway? Finish one section, turf it, and spend a fortune keeping the grass watered, trimmed etc whilst some parts were not even built! Would it not be more finacially viable to do the grass thing last and avoid the maintence costs til it is really needed, or is that just 'lady-thinking?'

We were in HA last year and Im sure they were doing some sort of 'Grand Opening' type thing on the Thursday or Friday afternoon, one of the trams was on the track opposite us, with a small crowd and photographers around it... Guess it was just a test session though.
