A8 Servicing

Hi all,

I have a 2004 A8 4.2 petrol with 45k miles and have covered 3k miles since I bought it last May. I have a few road trips planned in the next couple of months including a trip through Germany. Before I hit the autobahns can anyone tell me what the service intervals are on this car? I can't seem to find anything referring to servicing on the MMI and I don't want to find myself on fast roads with a service light flashing. The car was last serviced when i bought it from an Audi dealer.

Should be on variable servicing, speak to the supplying dealer.

I have a 2006 A8 with the 3.0TDi which is on the variable service interval thingy. There is nothing on the MMI system that will tell you when it is due.

On my Dad's A6, if you go to CAR - you should find SERVICE INTERVAL DISPLAY
His V6 A6 currently says in needs a service in 7,700mi, so at about 48,000mi so that might be an idea of when yours might be.

We went on a 2 week holiday in S. France in it last August, the SERVICE DUE notification popped up about 2 days in, we covered about 800-1200mi after that.

Had that feature on my A6 but it's not on the A8 apparently.
