Hmm - not sure. It doesn't look like it includes the LCD screen so not sure how much use it would be and if it would actually work without it. On the first picture you can see the slot that looks like it is for the screen display.
Given that alot of the VXR8's controls are operated using the screen it might get confused in another application.

The pics show the top and back of the unit, and installed - I dont think the screen can be detached. So, if the connections are the same as Monaro, and it looks like they are, then as long as it fits in the hole, then it might be ok, I know the VE cars use a different databus to the Monaro's, so I wouldnt expect the radio/cd info to display on the dash, but it would still be on its own screen. If any one can compare the Monaro and VXR8 side by side they could tell us if the 'holes' are the same size.
