Impreza Race Seats Fitting

Being a tad on the long shanks side and with a few track days, sprints and hill climbs on the agenda this year, I need to move by brain a little further from the roll cage i.e. I need to mount a race bucket as low as possible. The car is a 99 Impreza wagon and I would like to get the seat mounts behind the corss member if possible but it all looks a little tight. Anyone with any advice or experience?

speak to a guy with the user name frayz on scoobynet. he's just fitted a very expensive race spec recaro into his bug eye. he's a top bloke and will give you all the advice he can.

In fact if you go to BigPower some of them have done exactly what you want to do and there are plenty of pics and writeups for you to dribble over. Go sign up and become a member as there are plenty of like minded chaps on there that are into their sprints, climbs, Time Attack, TOTB, trackdays etc...
