I'm asking on behalf of my Bro', his SWB Pajero of 1992 vintage has rear brakes fitted with brake disc's rather than the brake drums and shoes. His problem is a warped disc which he intends to have skimmed. He has stripped down the assembly bvut cannot seem to remove the hub to get at the disc. No obvious bolts or screws to undo. Can anyone please advise? Thank you.

Normally the disc mounts over the hub. It could be that the half shaft (which is part of hub) is retained in the diff housing using horse shoe clips.

Can't help with the specific problem David but your bro' needs www.pocuk.com This is one of the most active one make clubs around and their search facility will produce a result for him.

AIRC new discs are cheap enough for these via the club.

Thanks for lead and suggestion (a bit late replying I know)he needed two special bolt thingies which screwed into holes in the hub, this forced off the brakes hubs, job done. Thanks.
