Chaps and ladychaps,

Got my beautiful SV650 last year not used it much but I am waiting for the weather to make change for the better so I roll him out. Not a fairweather rider because I have been out but I think it's safe to say everyone prefers the warmer weather anyway ...

Anyone suggest any upgrades for the SV that SHOULD be done and upgrades that just add to the visual pleasre of this machine?

Thanks in advance and take car out there if you are out.

Mark

It has to be a can, the SV sounds great with a can on it.

Any in particular???

I like the blue flame duel exit oval can... Apparently id you remove the end pipe blocker in the top exit you can literally get flames coming out...Sounds cool

Not sure about flames, it depends on your fueling i guess.

Some people like blueflame and some people dont.

I have a Titanium Oval Blueflame with dual port on my SV, it sounds amazing, I run it with the bottom outlet unblocked and with the baffle in. It sounds almost the same as with the baffle out but seems to pull a little better with that little extra back pressure.

Agreed. Can is definitely the first thing to do. I had the Blue Flame Dual port on mine and loved the sound. Didn't have the option of the baffle back then though, so it was just loud or don't use it at all. You certainly won't regret it.

If it's a pointy then visually you can't go wrong with a seat cowl (£40 ish from Suzuki), tail tidy (I had a Hamicad, I think they are £45-£50 new) and a 7x5 plate or similar.

Picture whoring:

As for cans, I heard Blue Flame are good because you can tune the sound with a dual port, don't know much more about them though. They did used to have a problem with popping rivets and falling to bits but I think they've sorted that in later cans - or at least, I haven't heard any more.

Lots of people have the Fuel can, including me!
There's a video of what it sounds like on ph.tv, just search for SV650. Gives a really bassy note without the baffle in.

Right chaps..... It's blueflame time. I am going to put the order in this weekend with the local suzuki dealer as he will fit it for me for nothing (friend) thanks to you r all for your words which now back up my intentions..

As for screens.... I like my screen it's not the standards screen but I couldn't tell you what it is because I didn't put it on. Seat cowels well that is something I am now going to look at as I have never condiered it before.

Any of you happy bikers from my end?? North Yorkshire? Thinking of doing a little bit of socialising this year seeing as it's the first year back on a bike.
