MBNA credit card - anyone know direct contact details?

having spent the best part of 10 minutes unable to find any way to cancel an unused MBNA credit card I turn my request to the PH massive - does anyone have the direct phone number or email address of someone senior within MBNA uk such that I can thoroughly p**s them off by as much as I am for their cleverly designed website and leaflets that give no clear way to cancel my account.

Why do you need to cancel it? Just cut it up.

Thanks for the link but the 4 official customer helplines numbers I already have do not allow me to speak to someone, nor offer me the option of cancelling my account.

As for cutting up my card - this also does not cancel the account. I don't need it as I have no debt nor any need to use this credit card (i've 3 'surplus to requirements' credit card accounts i've accrued over the years and I just want to kill them all).

So what happens when you call:
"24 hour Customer Service (including lost and stolen) 0800 062 062" ?

I'm struggling to imagine that if you don't follow the instructions, or else just hold, then someone won't answer the phone. Unless they're all out on fire drill, or something?
