Well, its Eurodragster.com's tenth birthday next Tuesday (26th), maybe an idea for a thread is your favourite story we have run over those ten years. If anyone likes the idea then start the thread biggrin
Consider it done!

I loved the 'UK racers told to check delay boxes for Y2K compatability' story.

My favorite headline was probably 'Viveca back in A fuel(l)er'.

Always sad to see just a name as a headline, Sammy Miller probaly the one that stopped my day when I saw it.

The event coverage has gone from strength to strength.

Ten years, Blimey, has t'internet been around that long?

Here's to the next ten beerdrink

Nice one on starting the thread Jon. Let's have some more. If you have a faint idea about a story then you can of course use the Site Search, and if you are really sad then the file name convention for our news archive is as follows:

www.eurodragster.com/news/newsmmyy.asp

The month and year are in digits so for example November 2006 would be:

www.eurodragster.com/news/news1106.asp

Also would anyone like to hazard a guess what was your News Editor's favourite-ever Eurodragster.com news story?

Why I would want to wind up Motorsport News deliberately is one for the memoirs I guess smile

A small deposit has been duly wafted off in the post for an advance copy of the memoirs! smile

One wonders how many "Sharp intake(s) of breath" there would be by the end of the very first page! Probably enough for Mrs. Topnitro to have a brown paper bag at the ready... Ha! wavey

I sed to be a DJ n a former life and to receive a tune on a promo was (sometimes but often) a bit of a coup..... I think a first look at The Togmeister's memoirs would be an eye opener of the highest degree !

Certainly one from you when you see your name on there smile

I am actually keeping a collection of war stories; when they will see the light of day is another matter. There's a lot of very funny and uplifting stuff but also some very unpleasant tales. However, they are all true so at least I can't be sued for them when they are published. I would imagine that there might be one or two sweaty foreheads when the time comes though, not least from the piece of mutton dressed as lamb who was meant to do the National Anthem acapella and the guy who fell hook, line and sinker for a set-up I engineered to teach him a lesson about spreading gossip biggrin

What might see the light of day a lot sooner is the travelogue I kept on the first Bahrain trip. Motorsport News commissioned me to keep a diary but then they never used it. It's been sitting burning a hole in my laptop's C: drive for two and a half years and I keep toying with the idea of posting it because I put a lot of work into it and it seems a waste that no-one will read it. It would have the added benefit that the guy who caused all the trouble on DW could then go screw himself biggrin

(If you didn't understand that last allusion then don't worry, and don't ask)
