Theres a hot girl at work who suffers from eczema. Its really getting her down at the moment as its spread to her face. Shes been to the doctor a few times but nothing has helped.

I'd quite like to be her 'Knight in shining armour' so I'm trying to help her get rid of it. Does anyone know a good cure for it?

There isn't a cure, but certain creams can help keep it at bay. Betnovate or other steroid creams will help, but they have side effects like skin thinning.

One other cream I'd recommend, is vaseline intensive rescue. It keeps skin moisture in which helps the skin heal.

HTH.

ETA - ask her what kind of diet she has. A wheat intolerance for example, may cause eczema to flare up.

Be honest, you only want to help her so you can shag her.

Youve already admitted you find her hot in spite of her scabdom so why not just bag up and shag her anyway?

You'll be a hero.

A mate of mine at uni cured his with some dead sea mud pack thingy. To be fair, it did seem to help - sadly it meant he stank of, well, salty mud.

Which doesn't do great things for the ol' sexlife.

For myself, I was always affected behind knees, inside crook of arm.

Betnovate^
A good moisturizer especially in both hot weather and drying effect of central heating at home.

Diet^^ is often mentioned, don't know much on that so can't say from experience.

Tell her sex releases endorphins which combat excema,

Am I the only one amazed it took this long for the innuendo to creep in?

used to have really bad eczema on my hands, had it since I was a kid. 5 years ago on a deployment in the gulf in the height of summer it was blazing hot and I was sweating all the time. My hands were so sore for the first 2 weeks with skin peeling off in layers. Over the next few weeks my hands got better and better and ever since then no problem. Hands sometimes get a bit dry but is easily cured with a bit of hand cream.

Hot middle eastern country and 6 weeks = cured

My lad has it, I get it a bit on my legs and arms, this time of year when there's a lot of central heating on and the air is dry it always flares up, have to use moisturisers n such to keep it at bay. Salt in the bath stings a little but really clears it up too.

The Aveeno range of products are very good if used regularly.

That said, perhaps starting a conversation about something which she is very conscious about (even if you're trying to be nice) is not the best way to gain knicker action though. You're still highlighting you've noticed it.

I did a bizarre project on engangered species a few years ago and part of it was dealing with enforcement on chinese medicine. Seems you have to careful about the practionerer but one guy told me that his son had servere case sorted by a guy in china town, but that sometimes they simply give you over strength hydrocortisone cream which solves it short term but damages the lower skin levels long term.

How can you tell if it is just extra strength cream?

My gf gets eczema and none of the conventional medicines work for her. She uses cream knocked up by some guy in Leicester which seems to do the trick. He apparently has a consultation with her and knocks up a custom batch of the stuff accordingly. I'm now a little worried that he is just giving her bumper strength cream.

One of my daughters used to suffer from eczema - thankfully she grew out of it. Some of the steroid creams are pretty effective, but we controlled it with diet. Specifically, reducing dairy products made a big difference.

I have eczema, aqueous cream is pretty good. I've heard positive things about using Shea Butter as a moisturiser, but I haven't tried it yet as I have a student's budget and apparantly it is expensive.

Dairy^ I've heard is certainly worth leaving alone, but gluten free bread and so on, does that make any odds?
