Anyone got any ideas what has happened to my service indicator, last service was an Inspection service on my E36, about 5,000 miles ago and it still shows 3 green lights. However, today the inspection light and brake fluid change light came on, which makes no sense. Nothing should be on until the green lights have gone and then it should be the oil service light.

Any ideas what has gone wrong?

It means just as it says, the brake fluid needs changing. The brake/coolant indicator is reset seperate from the green service indicator. Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years however your servicing is done according to your driving. Check your service history in detail and see if it was done as i say. If it is then its a trip to the garage my friend. Shouldnt be too expensive, but they normally find something else to do.
