Z3 MC vs E46 M3

Was planning on a breadvan for my next car which will be used daily as only car, with commute ranging from 3 miles to 25 miles to work. However the later s51 cars with the e46 m3 engine (more power and less vanos issues) are flippin expensive and rare as rocking horse sh*t. I'd therefore accepted it would be an s50 but then realised that a similar mileage e46 m3 that's 3 yrs newer isn't much more money.

I love the alternative looks of the MC and don't think the M3 looks particularly special but as a daily use car (the s50 doesn't have traction control and is cramped) I'm beginning to think I'd be mad to get the Z3. What do you reckon?

I have to agree an S54 engined M3 with DSC is a better propasition that an S50 MZ3 Coupe without as a daily driver, particularly at this time of year.

E46 M3 daily driver (all day)...

Z3Mc awsome weekend fun, not a great every day car like the E46 is.
