I know you will all think im barmy and you are probably right but i thought the deal was too good to turn down. The same dealership has also given me £500 more for my Focus than it is worth as well so effectively i have now halfed my mototoring outgoings and ended up with an extra £5k in the coffers.

The 111R will go at the end of next week and my Focus will go in 2 weeks after i have piled more miles on it travelling to London.

I have not included the soft top off the 111R in the deal so if anyone wants to make me an offer on a brand new soft top feel free.

You are clearly going through some crisis, get some therapy and then go and buy another Lotus.

How many cars have you had in the last 12 months!

Fair enough and I am sure you have your reasons but will you not miss the Elise like a pain?

I reckon you will buy another one in 6 months

Old saabs yes. They felt special in some way. Still remember my first trip in a saab 99 turbo.

New ones, oh no, vauxhalls in drag! You need to stop smoking that crack pipe.

You *are* of course completely mad. yes

I have a 111R and a Saab 9-3 2.0t and I love them both... but for very different reasons.

The Saab is a comfortable motorway mile muncher and booze-cruise-mobile. Also handy for the stand-off against the Chelsea Tractor brigade if ever I need to drive into London. Cracking used buy at 50% RV at 2.5 years as well. smile

However there is no way on God's earth that I would chop in my 111R for one.

To be honest, once it let me down starting a few weeks ago it was the beginning of the end. I know it was only the battery and it is common but for £30k the least you can expect from a car is that it will start.

Having a lardy 'yota after a 111S was always going to be disappointing tongue out

Still, I guess it's a healthier way to waste money than a coke habit hehe
