hi guys i come a visiting from my home at the chim forum with a question , i have seen a very tatty 280 tasmin faded paint no tax etc and i am going to bang on the owners door and demand ownership of it! my misses thinks im mad wanting a second one but i hate to see such an thing of beauty going to waste , i have a workshop spray area etc to do it up but my question is what should i offer what is it worth and what should i look out for , chassis etc?

Well if it needs a lot of work and the chassis is in bad condition, then £250, is chassis is ok £500-£750. fully sorted you only talking about £1500-£2000 so you not going to make money on it. they are stupidly cheap esp as they are quite rare now.

That feeling takes me back a long long time to when I used to visit Looe in Cornwall regularly. There was always a filthy dirty 450 sat in a driveway near the river(F666 something, anybody got it now?). I always drooled while cursing the owners for letting it get in such a state and swore I'd knock their door. Then one day armed with a full bank account (those were the days) I went down specially and the damn thing had gone. I've never seen it since.

My car's reg is F666 xxx it was a Midnight Blue 350i until I changed its colour....
