BEDFORD TRACK DAY

Just did a trackday near Bedford (thurleigh aerodrome) booked with trackdays. What a day. Loads of track time and lots of other fast cars and drivers to go head to head with including lots of beemers, scoobies a lancia integrale, a seat cup car, toyota supra, audi R8 lots of lotus and a few nissan 200's. Unfortunately there was only one other vauxhall an omega v6!!!!

I can definitely recommend this venue for a go on a track. It was all wll organised and included a 20 minute session with an instructor. My best lap had an average speed of 69mph and fuel consumption of 7mpg !!!!. Therefore the only downside was the 50 quid I spent on fuel on the track and then the other 50 quid to get there and back.

I only got a space when somebody cancelled so there wasn't much point. But if I see another one I'll let you know. Are you going to thruxton for the vxr day? it is well worth the trip.

Feel a bit of a fraud hooning about in a car I have no intention of buying.
