What a fantastic car. Had her out for the first time on track and exceeded my expectations. Thanks to a bit of instruction from Sean Edwards (thanks mate) I think I was getting the hang of it by the end of the day (unofficially timed in the 54s) so very happy.

I bought the Lambo so I could drive to the track, give it a good thrashing, and drive home again with a minimum of fuss and without a bootful of spare parts. All of the niggles that bother you on the road disappear when out on the track. Any criticism of the carbon ceramic brakes, disappears on the track. They stop hard, every time, all day long.

The only casualties being the passenger side front and rear tyres have lost their shoulders, so thinking about what else to try.

So, definitely a keeperthumbup

A few pictures....

Great pics. It is OK with a helmet or did you have the seat lowered to fit?

No problem, I have to say you were going very, very well by the end! You really took what I was telling you on board and applied it, well done!

Lovely car to drive as well, very different to anything I have driven before.

I'm 6ft, so no good with the helmet on as it came. I removed the seat cushion and sat on the shell of the seat. That gave me enough room.

can i ask how easy it was to remove the seat cushion ? were you able to retain the alcantara trim ? is a seat without cushioning liveable with ? is this reversible ?
a
Pretty easy with some perseverance. All it took me was fingers and a screwdriver to crack some of the tougher glue. If you're careful the alcantara remains stuck to the cushion no problem, failing that I've no doubt it can be glued back down. The seat without cushion was liveable all day, although I plan to get a thin peice of high density foam to improve it. The cushion went back in no problem, and hasnt moved around. I figure to velcro it in place as a permanent fix.

Harry, regarding tyres - you can get Toyo R888 in the standard sizes...or Pilot Sport Cups (305 rear, will fit the standard rims).

For the ultimate look no further than Hoosier R6's, which again are available in the standard sizes.

Thanks Scott, am I right in thinking that the Hoosier is a "slick"?

The R6 is a DOT legal 'semi slick'. In reality it's just a slick with a couple of small grooves cut in it. I'm not sure about the legality of it on UK roads, and regardless of the law I certainly wouldn't risk getting caught out in a shower with them on when driving public roads.

Great for a second set of wheels.
