a bit of info on parts please..

Hi again..apologies in advance if this has already been covered but im starting to go cross-eyed searching previous posts..

Im building up a info file on me future chimaera and with the help of this forum i feel better educated already and hopefully will have me eyes open(ish) when buying :-)

Ive started to get an idea on running costs through servicing/petrol etc etc but would like an idea on the approx life of key parts and costs of replacing?

Eg i read some posts stating that clutches seem to last until 40-50k miles, is this about right? i guess Cams would need replacing at some point but any info on any other key bits that may have a short life and costs would be much apppreciated...

I don't think there are any hard and fast rules as to when bits wear out or need replacing. It all depends on the car and how it's been driven. But if there are this book will not only cover it but tell you how to in detail.
