Dear Fellow PHers,

We now have the dates for all the main Roadshow events for this year:

Sunday 15 June Easton Farm Park: East Anglian Practical Classics
Sunday 29 June Newmarket: Two Counties Motor Show
Sunday 20 July Kimbolton Castle: Sporting Bears Charity Classic
Sunday 17 August Rougham Air Display & Classic Car Show
Sunday 24 August Stamford
BH Monday 25 August Lavenham Rare Breeds Motor Show

As before, entry is by reservation only so please let me know in good time which shows you'd like to attend, together with your car make, model and registration number. You can see photos from previous shows at www.phea.co.uk > PH Roadshow. Entry is usually free with suitable car but Rougham is £5 per car including up to one passenger.

There will probably be other events through the year but Ian and I are still working on those!

Many thanks :-)

John,

There will also be the Stamford show which is likely to be Sunday 24th August. This may only appeal to the 'Northern Division' of PHEA, but a very good show all the same.

Each year it got more expensive and less well organised, so we thought we'd drop it for a year and do EAPC instead (which we skipped last year). Variety and all that.

Just a question John,

Received a pack from rougham today, no doubt you have to.

They appear to have two show dates this year for cars

"Wings & Wheels" 28th & 29th June 08

&

"SGR FM Classics and Sports" 16th & 17th August 08

Now I think we normally attend the "Wings & Wheels" event, scheduled as above, but this does clash with the Newmarket show?

I see that The SGR FM event is advertised as "Air Display" also, sorry for confusion I may cause here.

I trust we all go by your dates as posted, do we apply to Rougham direct or will we (you) be doing this in block?

Patrick,

The one we attend is the SGR FM Classics and Sports Cars in August. I think that last yaer John organised a block booking for the tickets. I.m sure he will be along shortly to sort it out.

Thanks Patrick and good points. Rougham have several shows and the one we go to is the 'Air Display and Classic Car Show' on 16/17 August. We go on the Sunday as that's generally when most people can attend.

There will be a PHEA stand/area reserved, but having just phoned Rougham for clarification, there will not be a convenient Club Entry Form. They want to keep things 'simple' so are insisting on 20 bits of paper instead of one - individual entries I'm afraid.

Sooo - everyone who's on their database should receive an entry form in the post and should return it if they want to go. If you haven't been before you can download it as a Word doc here:

www.roughamairfield.org/forms/2008%20Exhibitors%20...

To save confusion on the day (weak laughter) I suggest that everyone writes PISTONHEADS in big bold letters on the top. This will allow the marshals to say 'no idea mate' and then direct you to the wrong place.

The good news is that the price is actually £5 per car including one passenger.

John, can you put me down for EAPC as well (providing that nothing untoward happens on my French trip). I take it that it's much like Lavenham?
