COD4 - Level 55

Morning all

Bugging the sh*t out of me

Having got to level 40 over the weekend it seems that 55 is not to far in the future but, what is the game to acheive most points the quickest.

For me it seems that Search and Destroy I can get around an average of 6 kills per game and the on a good team a game can last about 5 minutes if quick - resulting in around 600 point.

Can it be done quicker?

I know HQ is an average of 600 points per game for me but seem to take a lifetime.

I need level 55 in my life and then I can enjoy the game - mocking the "noobs"!

Playing HQ on Shipment the other night I got 6 or so achievements in one game. If your on level 55 and need the shoot two enemy with one sniper bullet this is the level to do it on! along with loads more.

HQ is the noob game for ranking up.

You can get 600+ easy and then you get 400+ match bonus, add in any challenges completed and your onto a winner.

I normally get 1000 - 1500 on HQ qhen i play it.

The most I have had was 3200 on shipment

I had 700 in match xp, 500 in match bonus and the rest was in challenges, I think i did about 6 challenges.

If you are on level 40, then 55 is miles away in terms of points. I would say it is less points to go from 0-40 than 40-55 (at least it feels like it !!).

HQ is a good one for points, and my favorite game type, but apparantly, according to B(route), that now makes me a n00b ?!?! Not sure how, I thought I had played the game loads since the day it came out and thought I was just playing a game type I liked ?? Oh well, you live, you learn

You'd be a noob because of your high score but a pathetic kill count. Then when you are playing other games you'll get owned by people with lesser ranks than yourself. Better to be a good player than have a high rank and be st.

Agreed with that. Every level you go up the more and more points you need to up a level. I would say the points needed to go from 40-55 is more than what is needed to get from 1-39.

I usually play domination. 15 points within 5 second each time in the race to the first flag. Only 5 points per kill, but if you are at the top of your team and it wins you get big points for the game. I would say on average I get 300 points personally and 200-300 if my team wins.

Over that, I would try and do the challenges for each of the weapons and the other random ones. A lot of them actually teach you new tactics which expand your skills.

we are all saying lvl 55 but isnt it effectivly lvl 56.

im on 55 and need only 2000 more points to get to 56... Prestige.

in the end lvl mean st.. i could play a lvl 30 (some fat american) and they would wipe may ass...

There isnt a huge amount of skill level inherent between level 30 and 55.

However, compare a level 54 and someone who has gone through Prestige mode 3, 4 or 10 times and there is almost without fail a gulf.

can you tell if some one has gone through Prestige Mode 10 times? thats 10 x lvl 55.. WOW

They have a Gold cross as their medal.

If your not prestige level 1 chances are you wont have seen that many prestige icons.

Although who your matched with is based on skill level rather than rank/score like most people are led to believe.

Yeah some chumps got there within a couple of weeks of the game being out. If you have a look at the leaderboards, there are most likely hundreds at this stage if not thousands.

I don't think I will ever play the game for that amount of time forever, let alone do that by now...!

Wow, I am a noob, I have a pathetic kill count and I get owned by players with a lesser rank than myself in other game types and I am st......all from playing HQ. This is amazing, I never knew any of this

I would say the only ratio that actually counts is the win ratio. Kills mean nothing if they don't add up to wins.

20+ DAYS so your talking 480hrs of play

I'm Level 4 Prestige and have somehow 'wasted' 6 days of my life on COD since xmas.......... I did stay at level 1 prestige until i had completed all the challenges and guns etc like a chump otherwise I would probably be abit higher.

Most people completely ignore your win ratios.

Easily 150+ of my games looses are because a host has ended a game, or I have been kicked into a game with 3 minutes remaining and the team already loosing 220 - 0.

Sadly both of the above amongst other things means win/loss ration means bugger all.

Kill/death ratio shows how good you are as a player.

I don't get this at all. Lets say you capture every point, getting 20 points a time, and also win the match. That's maybe 500 points. To get another thousand you'd have to be getting 200 kills per match, or getting three or four challenges and 50 odd kills every time.

There aren't that many challenges, and you can't be getting that many kills.

Seems to me 700 points is more likely score for a decent headquarters player, and 1500 happens occasionally when you get a few challenges.

OK,

You win a game without destroying/capturing or infact even killing anyone..... you get 250xp without doing anything.

I normally get about 50 kills, sometimes more. but say 50 minimum.....thats another 250xp

So thats 500 from the word go. Now add in capturing the HQ twice minimum thats 50xp maybe destroying it twice thats 50xp.

So we are at 600 easy so far.

Then Factor in that I pretty much never have a match bonus below 400xp.

That equals 1000. If you then factor in the potential for more kills to be had and more often than not higher match bonuses.

1000xp+ is easy enough without any challenges being completed.

Well you must be very good then. Other than on shipment, it's pretty rare that I see anyone get more than 50 kills. I've certainly not played in game where a player consistently gets a minimum of 50 kills on every map.

I had however forgotten the match bonus though.
