Lights out on Exige!!

I have notinced that a couple of the LED's on my rear passenger light keep going out! If i tap them form the outside they come back, but go out again! Any suggestions??

Car is still under warranty.
Is this something they'll sort out under the cover for me or not?

That'll be the quality Lotus LED light clusters then, talk to your dealer, you won't be the first or the last to have them start failing.

Check the part number. Bet a tenner* it begins with an "A". Go back to the dealer and demand they replace it under warranty with the new '08 "B" part. While you're at it see if you can get the other side to fail at the same time or you'll have to make another trip in a few weeks to get that one sorted. Getting the "B"'s might take a bit of effort but they are the new "fixed" version.

Known issue that Lotus have admitted to (at least over the phone to me).

I also had this problem with mine last year - took car to B&C and they fitted a new light & new wiring loom & all sorted under warranty

Ill have a look next time she's out of the garage! Where abouts is the model number of the part im looking for??
I'massuming its the early 'A' spec as i have an early 06 Exige s

On the back of the lamp unit there will be a white paper sticker with the part number on it. Guarantee its an "A". Just get onto the dealer and get them to ring Lotus who will explain all. It's not on their "technical bulletins" and they won't believe a customer knows more than they do.

The "B" parts look identical but are different internally (at least according to the guy I spoke with on Lotus tech.) I can't see any difference on mine but at least they work properly now. There doesn't appear to be the same issue with "A" fog lights though.
