Hi, a chap has offered me a 2004 (04) 230 bhp UK car, it's silver with leather and sat nav with 39,000 miles on a px with my current car.
Could anyone tell me the book (guide) price?
I am quite keen as it's a sporty type car that I can fit my kids in. The spec looks good and not silly miles either.
Also could anyone also confirm if there are any major service work due. They are pretty unique cars (in th engine sence) and I know nothing.....
Any help/info very much appreciated.
Regards
Mat

A shade over £10,000 seems to be the going p/x price according to What Car.

If the link above doesn't work, head over to www.whatcar.co.uk and click on the valuations tab, input your info and it'll give you valuations based on your mileage and a load of stats and advice. Might also be worthwhile looking on www.honestjohn.co.uk for any known problems etc.

Biggest service is the 3rd, plugs are expensive (£300-400), 12,500 service intervals.
Expensive items to go are CAT 1st (they often eat them, requiring new one and new exhaust), brake disks I guess. Another thing to 'worry' about is the carbon prop shaft if it gets damaged. Oh also the AC compressor is pricey to fix and a little vulnerable to stones.
Overall though a reliable motor, mine when I sold it (from new) at 37k as fine.
Excelent safety rating, great gadgets to keep you on the road, airbags everywhere, and only 1300kg's. Decent space in them too. Loved mine.
