"Set to be one of the star attractions at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, this is the Maserati GranTurismo S, a flagship that shifts the super-coupe’s emphasis from style to performance.

Key to the newcomer’s appeal is its mighty 434bhp 4.7-litre V8 powerplant – a 35bhp boost over the standard car. To help drivers make the most of the S it is fitted with Maserati’s quick-shifting automated manual gearbox.

What's more the range-topper also comes with powerful Brembo brakes as standard.

Buyers are also treated to a subtle bodykit and exterior styling tweaks to set the high performance model apart. Inside, the cabin is trimmed with leather and Alcantara and features a bespoke seat design.

Expect more details when the racy Italian is unveiled in Geneva on Tuesday 4th March".

I hope this is to the GT what the GS is to the 4200.

As awesome as the GT is, it lacks a little something. Looking fwd to some more pics.

I know Maserati car prinicles are more about style than speed and I'm sure some of that principle has to do with their relationship with Ferrari.

But if they put the 575M V12 in that car I'd be queuing up to buy one all day, it looks gorgeous.

Wonder what this new model will do to the prices of the standard car?

I was reading this thinking how pissed off I'd be if I had a GT - its not been out 5 minutes itself and they're pulling this stunt???

God that looks great in that colour with those styling tweaks!! Rear lip spoiler alone gives the car more presence!

Its no secret that this has been on the cards from the beginning. Its aimed at a slightly different market as it has a proper paddle shift box and not an Auto.
