new wheels and shocks

My standard chim wheels are looking rather tired as are the shocks, so the plan is to replace both,
I like the look of standard wheels or something similar that is in keeping with the original look of the car, but with the correct offsets.
I've already looked at PX wheels very attractive offers but if i go 16" allround i cant use them, 16" helps with tire choice,and as far as im aware doesn't affect ride too much
With all the threads on here of problems with offsets / rubbing / handling and ride quality, would i be opening a can of worms changing the wheels?
i've seen these



which look great but don't fit . Has anyone come across anything like this that does?
also what spring rate should i use with gaz golds to improve handling without comprimising on ride quality too much?
any advice welcome as i have spent hours looking for all this info with not much luck.

Have your wheels refurbished instead costs around £40 per wheel you can get a discount for all 4 done at once you wont believe the difference! and you can get the TVR centre badges off ebay for a decent price also fit new chrome wheel nuts for that extra touch! as for new shocks/tyres thats where it gets pricey! shop around i havnt replaced mine as they are not worn yet so someone else let me know too how much the wallet can be hit!
