BMW Z3, roof doesn't work. Not happy, thought BMW build was meant to be reliable?

Who did you buy the Z3 from and did you check the operation of the roof before you paid your money?
There will always be the odd issue with any car, regardless of who made it.

A Z3 is going to be secondhand. And probably a few years old by now. If bought from BMW, you'd expect it to be checked and working. But any other route, you really want to be checking such things out yourself before parting with your hard earned.
If you got it from BMW, then take it back and ask them to sort it out. Im sure they'll take care of it.

P,
Dont think BMW sell AUC that are older than 4 years old. Z3's are much older than this.

Yes they do, as long as its got full BMW history and decent mileage, Ive seen some quite old cars on BMW AUC sites before - Chandlers had a 2001 X5 recently for sale

Panic over, it does work. Trust the guy I bought it from and he had checked it for me. Just needed a bit of a nudge. It's a 99 plate so a few years old. I'm hoping that the build quality holds true until I pick up an Exige again in 12 months. Seems quite a fun car to drive, a big difference from what I've been used to but wife loves it so selling on should be easy laugh .

There is also a 97,000 mile 1999 T plate BMW 523i SE at a main dealer on the AUC site at the moment.

£6k though!
