Hi all,i believe there is a shakedown meeting at North weald airfield this coming Sunday 2nd march for the Speed championship, what i want to know is can i turn up as its not too far from me and have a look on the day or is it closed to competitors only?,the reason being i fancy seeing Tvr's being used as they should and also im semi interested in participating in a form of motorsport in the future.
Cheers

Sadly, North Weald is a terrible event for spectating. The only place you can watch is by the start line and due to the layout of the track the cars go out of sight pretty quickly.

You forgot to mention that it is also the coldest place on the planet Hugh! last year Dave and I 'hid' in the Rangie all day. biggrin

Best places in the SE for spectating have got to be Brands or better still Lydden.

Yeah, that too. Last year I was wearing 3 layers of Nomex, a down jacket, fleece gloves and hat and it was still a bit chilly. Lets hope that global warming has done something for us this year.
