Just checking but most of the dealers appear to have got all their first sc's still for sale! Are they the wrong spec and everyone is ordering their own specific cars or are they not selling very well?
I think they've taken a fair few order's but don't know anyone myselfBoggy
Hi, I have just given the green light on buying an SC today at 5.30 pm, have driven two demo cars it just
ticks all the boxes for me. I am very excited as you can you can imagine.
Final spec, touring pack metallic, air con and hard top.
Black leather interior, exterior Burnt Orange!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to see one in the flesh but more likely Storm Titanium, my present colour and firm favorite and.....its safe, works for me.
Early May delivery for factory order so not to bad a wait.
Boggy has driven one and was impressed, as has everyone who has the chance.
keep you posted
Happy days.

I drove one back-to-back with a 111r and thought it much more pleasent to drive with its more linear power delivery and i expect i will pull the trigger and buy one eventually. The only stumbling block for me is what appears to be a big hit on residuals in the first year on Lotusses(111r's seem to lose about 7-10k as they leave the showroom)My other idea is to buy a 111r and get Silverstone performance to do their magic...buy a 111r for 20-25k and spend 7k on the Silverstone upgrade still gives you a lot cheaper car than a new sc!250bhp for 30k seems a relative bargain.ticks all the boxes for me. Did exactly the same back to back with 111r. The 111r was fun on second cam but the SC was awsome mid range, only revved it to 5.500rpm as still avery new engine.
I really liked the power delivery.
Residuals are always painful and I have never bought a new car for all the reasons you state, however you still lose money on any car, new or other.
Thought 2 years on there will still not be that many SC on the secondhand market and I would like one now, pays your money..........
Your way of doing thing would be as effective, I just preferred having the whole official Lotus sc thing as long term this will help with resale as well.
its alway difficult balancing money in different ways on cars I just had to give my frazzled mind a rest! so now I am in with both feet

That's exactly what I did with mine - apart from the fact the SC wasn't available at the time so I went to SP to sort it out. Just driven it to work this morning and must say that it was worth every penny

I've now driven the SC Elise twice and it's a fantastic all round package, I understand some of the concern's her about residual's but the hard fact of life is this
If you don't want to loose any money then don't buy a Car, yes there are certain people that haven't but on the whole every car will drop in value I'm not interested in any of that bull. You buy a car because you want it not because you want to make money out of it? The after market choice is there and yours to decide but I'd edge caution if the engine goes bang as a result of the conversion then you will not be covered buy either the manufactures or the after market company warranty. Your also reducing the market for your car further, I'm not even sure a Lotus dealer would stock it?
The SC Elise is as fast as you'll ever want a road sport's car to be
Stunning!
Anyone who has any doubt's or concern's should simply book a test drive

I'm waiting until April to tak B&C's SC out as the talk is that the engine with only a few miles on it(above the 1k mark) has still not yet lossened up properly but they reckon from my style and choice of driving I'll get a better picture of it then.
Hopefully the engine will have loosened up nicely and I'll be able to compare by R to it.
I do have very hopeful expectations of what it can do.
