Hi all
As the title suggests how easy/difficult is it to remove all the A/C pipes, pump etc ?
Hoping to join the ranks and become the proud owner of a 450 in the near future. I never use A/C and have found a great car near me which has it fitted. Is it worth it or will it cause too many problems for a DIY job ? Will it impact on any possible resale value a few years down the road ?
Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Removal would be pretty straight forward as long as you had the system degassed before cracking open any of the pipes.
Any parts that you remove must be capped of to stop any air or moisture getting into them (and no, sticky tape over the ends of a pipe is not air tight).
But I have got to ask, why take off a feature that adds value to the car.
It would be a little like removing the alloy wheels and replacing them with white 8 spokes!

Welcome to PH, I see this is your first post.
Am I correct inassuming this will be your first TVR?
I suggest you wait until you have experienced at least one hot summer in one of these cars before removing the A/C.
The cockpit can get hotter than you're expecting and you maybe glad to have it.

If you don't want to use it, don't use it: I can't see any point in removing the system, it's just a load of work for no return. When the system's off it doesn't load the engine.
.What he said....
Why would you want to remove it? Cheapest and easiest option would be just to not turn it on!
Yes this will be my first TVR and can't wait !!
I thought the best option would be to just not use it but was also curious as to if it would be a big job to remove.
Looking at the majority of comments looks like the best action is to just leave it.
Cheers for all the advice. Will post pics when the deal has been done and its on the drive at home.
