Clay Bar

Just spent 3 hours detailing the Sag with a Maguires clay kit- what a tremendous difference. Wish I had found these little jems years ago!

Clay bars are amazing. I used a Sonus clay bar, one of the mildest compounds. Great prep for the Sag before Zymol application. Used plenty of Megs Quick Detailer as lubricant, you would be amazed at road film and contaminants that the clay lifts. Not as scary as some make out, I'm a convert!!!

Same here bobd I am now a convert to the clay bar, just hope I can fit a full treatment in before Chatsworth.

What is the pre-Clay Bar treatment ? A good wash or something different

It is a piece of clay that is drawn across the paintwork using a detailing spray as a lubricant that removes surface contaminants and leaves the surface as smooth as glass. The car is then waxed which adheres to the paint instead of the surface contaminants and leaves a deeper smoother shine. I was sceptical, but the results are truly amazing.

Pre-clay bar - good wash down (2 bucket method ), then dry off.

Clay bar + Lubricant

Zymol HD Cleanse

Zymol Concours Wax
