So what's wrong with this then? Admittedly, not much of a description to go on, but 2003 plate with only 9,450 miles - why so cheap?

Scam? Stolen?

Whaddyareckon?

Has to be a mis-print surely?

On the other hand, turn up with the cash and an open mind and you might get a bargain...!

i'd go with mis-print...

If its really that price there's got to be something going on.

Either a scam or he pressed 1 instead of 4.

If thats a mistake its a big un ! Surely he looked at the ad before he submitted it ? If that is the price something is up...you'd think if you were selling your bike you would in more effort with the advert.

I think a 1 has been inserted by mistake at the front of the price and its actually £2900

£2900, could even be up for £3900 if they're pushing it. Of course that is to assume a mis print rather than catc/d write off or scam
(could also be the old dealer trick, don't have that one, but do have another like it)

eta, thought sellers could put slightly more info on auto trader ads than is there?

That is in the price range for a real rough track bike...perhaps it`s been down the road & the frame has hidden damage or something. Need to check with the vendor what the issues are.

I don't see how it would be a scam, surely you turn up and pay the dosh, it's not ebay is it. Isn't the easiest thing to ring the seller and ask, or dib them at £1500 you never know wink

Rick, it could be anything, from someone having a laugh to get people going, it could be an enemy's bike, 'advertised' to cause grief, it could be that you'll take the cash along and have it removed from your person' at the 'address' you have been told to pick the bike up from.
I have known of actual cases of all three.
