Hubcentric spacers/adaptors

Morning all,

I'm looking for some hubcentric spacers to adapt my 5 stud 120pcd E36 coupe to 5 stud 114.5pcd.

I'm running 16's at the minute, and I'd like to change to 17's to have a better choice of tyres for my track hack 328. The problem is, if I'm replacing them I may as well get some forged wheels, and forged BMW wheels are like hen's teeth. I can't find any reliable information on which (if any) standard BMW wheels are forged, or whether common aftermarket BMW ones like alpinas or BBS's are forged.

However, most Jap cars have a 114.5pcd and lots of Japanese wheel manufacturers like Volk, Rays, Enkei and so on make a lot of forged wheels for things like Supras, Evos and what not. Plus fairly regularly these turn up on ebay with poor descriptions and go for a song.

So, does anyone know of a decent supplier of such adaptors, and what a decent price would be on a set of 4? Google turns up a lot of ebay sellers but no real engineering suppliers.

That's not bad at all! The volks I had on the old Mister two were only a shade under that. The only problem is the inflated price they can go for because all the chavs want them on their 318is's.

I didn't realise they were forged, I found it tough to get info on them. I've not seen this site before but I'll have a look through it.

The main reason I wanted forged is because I would like to move to 17's, but if I'm changing wheels I'd like to go for wheels as light as possible. It made a massive difference on the last car, cast 17's only just cleared the calipers but the first 16" forgeds were about an inch off it.

Yeah, I've had a browse and the Forged M3's or style 32's look like a good bet. I'm impressed with the standard BMW alloy masses, and given that this track car is on a tight budget, they look like the best value for money.

There are some 32's on the bay I'm watching now, I just need to make sure they're genuine and not copies.

On this spacer subject i have seen stuff like the Eibach spacers that go for something like £60/70 upwards but have also recently seen aftermarket variants that claim to be 'universal' in fitment for about £15, therefore are you paying for the brand or is there a 'Real' differance in these variants of spacer...

I expect if there is a difference it's all in the material.

I was thinking of making my own anyway, I've got a small sheet of inch thick 2021 T6 which should be okay, I just need to do some sums first.

Month long BUMP.

Rather than begin a new thread, I thought I'd resurrect this. Thanks to the Ebay, I'm now the owner of four mint Enkei wheels. Measuring in at 6.5kg per corner, I don't think I'd get much more out of them. £150 opening bid and done, no other bids. The advert was okay, but they're banana yellow, so I can imagine people may be put off.

However, they are Jap 114.5x5 stud pattern. I'd need spacers for my wheels anyway due to the coilovers I have, so adaptor spacers will only be a little heavier.

The only ones I've found so far can adapt to porsche fitment. does anyone know of a company who may have them on the shelf, or may be able to make them reasonably inexpensively?
