Dear all,

I am currently running my 2005 T350c with the TVR Power Back Box and I have been very happy with it for nearly 2 years.

One of my cats is showing signs of wear & tear after close internal inspection. Has anyone got a de-cat T350c with a TVR Power Back Box. I am very curious to find out how loud the car may become, or have any of you as a result of de-cat noticed better throtle response, smooth running of engine etc. These are some of the benefits that the garage in question are assuring me of. It will also have new chip to manage new set up. I believe a John Ravenscroft or something like that.

Any valid comments will be welcome from owners who have had the above alterations carried out.

Thanking you all in advance. Excuse my spelling errors!

I tried nearly same - JP exhaust, great tune but was also a bit louder even on part-throttle when cruising Mways (unavoidable from time to time)

Then de-catted.

I do like to HEAR an engine but earsyikes

In the end sold JP & stuck with standard exhaust + de-cat ever since for slight top-end gain and almost as good a tune, but only when accelerating.
Also gets me into track days without problems, but JP was 103db even when new.

Still, it's a personal choice thing smile

I have all three. The TVR Super sports, de-cat and a chip.
It's bloody loud especially after 4000rpm.
Where are you based?

It will be quite noisy.

Mine was recorded as 128db with that combo. Was on a rolling road yesterday and my ears are still ringing.

Thanks Lads

I have still got original back box, if too loud may stick original back box on after de-catted, then again probably not.

Karlo I am based near Epping in Essex. Can meet for a drive if you like mate.
