It's for sale via Mark Crowson. He advises you read the "Owning a Quasar" section if you are thinking about one. He does advise that they are heavy and back conditions can mean you would find it a problem.

It handles better than many Sportsbikes, has built in Real weather protection, real world crash protection and there are only 22 in existance. It's only drawback is the limited engine power. However it is still very quick.

How quick? Kinda reminds me of a C5!

Handles better than many sportsbikes? I doubt it; not on those bakelite tyres and bed frame swingarm.
Built in weather protection? No not really; if you want that, drive a car.
Real world crash protection? From what? Rabbits? Hedgehogs?
Only 22 in existence? I'm not surprised; look at it... So good they only made 22 isn't exactly a marketing mans dream statement is it?
Limited engine power? Buy something modern.
Still very quick? Compared to what? Sloths on C90's? Snails on step throughs?

Thanks, but no... wink

Like for like It went round a track faster than a sportsbike of it's era.

Fair enough if that's what you want.

A Quasar hit a stopped Renault 5 on a french Autoroute and destroyed it. The rider was unhurt. Another rolled into a field again the rider went away unhurt.

FF Motorcycles just don't seem to appeal to the motorcycle community however other more conventional machines have suffered similar fates.

The Quasar's Top Speed may be limited but it sits at high speeds and can hold it in comfort. You could always ask about the ZZ1300 engined version!! Hardly a snail

There is a limited market and to most riders a conventional bike is all they will contemplate. It means that the FF market is small but popular

Yes, there are other markets which are small but popular;

Sado-masochism,
"Water sports,"
Felching,

Haven't ever tried them, but know I don't have to to know I don't like them... wink

I'll stick to more convential things if you don't mind.

But it's era was the late 70's. Most road going 250's these days will turn in faster lap times than the likes of an Yam XS1100 or a Honda CBX on all bar the straightest of circuits.

Much as I love nostalgia, I think that, realistically, against today’s vehicles, the Quasars performance is crap!
