Hi guys.

I am going to get a rev counter for my 2002 TD5. I have been told that all the wiring is in situ behind the instument cluster so all i need to do is buy the unit itself.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me.

Cheers

Hi Bish,

It's been a while since I had my Td5, but I fitted a revcounter in place of the clock. Its a special order item available from your main-stealer, as it was fitted to the South African spec Td5's.

You need to pick up a rev counter pulse from somewhere and the easiest place is one of the pins on the main ecu under your seat.

Looks very smart........I think I may move the rev counter next to the speedo and shift the others to the right. Don't know why but just may be something a bit different.

These chaps sell one as well for the TD5, it's one of the things on my Defender "to do" list. This one caught my eye because it has instructions and the necessary wiring included.

Have a boost gauge fitted to my Tdi as it doesn't rev that high!
