Disappearing topic

And I'm not talking about a controversial one (I think).

There was a topic in Food and Drink about lean meat, and it's disappeared. I posted a couple of times in there - can't find it in my contributions either...

Don't worry mate. There doesn't need to be a reason anymore. Any post with genuine a purpose seems to get deleted without explanation now.

I didn't want to join in the bashing, but the forum is virually useless now.

I'm not going to highjack this thread. I'm just going to lose interest very quickly if innofensive posts I make continue to dissappear. There's no point in posting on a forum if your contributions are removed.

I'm not going to highjack this thread. I'm just going to lose interest very quickly if innofensive posts I make continue to dissappear. There's no point in posting on a forum if your contributions are removed.

I don't think they're being removed - quite a few people have mentioned diasppearing posts. It's happened to me several times. Seems to be a feature of the servers at the moment. It's certainly not mod policy to pull individual posts unless they're seriously offensive or advertising. There isn't enough time in the day to trawl that deeply!

If that's the case then all is fine and dandy. But couldn't someone simply have said that on my thread a few minutes ago rather than simply delete it without explanation? Unless ofcourse it also fell foul of the servers...
