Some oiks here have positioned a mini camera above the PIN machine at a petrol station. No end to what these b*g***s will do!

It's not a new scam. They do say to cover the keypad when typing your PIN these days, wherever you are.

Also beware the petrol station security cameras pointing directly at the card reader.

At a local garage "noted" for such scams, the hand held unit is fixed down to the counter and behind you the camera can see the pin number being entered!

I use both hands as it helps cover the keys.
Also credit cards are better protected, as its the banks money they are stealing!
Debit cards are your money!

You don't need a camera, just stand behind someone in line..

The amount of times I've quietly said to my wife whilst standing in line "Their PIN is WXYZ", purely due to people not realising that they need to protect this somewhat important number!

That's the least of your worries, you can now rig a card machine to log everything without tripping the anti-tamper devices
