A rather academic question I know, but out of interest what is the true top speed of a standard 4.2?

Assuming it'll keep revving to 7.5k - about 195ish maybe. I wouldnt want to be in it though... I've heard of a fair few that have hit 185+ now with relative ease. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE A CERBERA! evil

What is the mph/rev in top gear confused mine seems to sit about 3krpm at 80, so given that if you are prepared to hold it at high rev's say 7k5rpm it then should be doing 200mph, which with 400hp+ / 1100kgs may be doable yikes

Although I would imagine aerodynamics are more important than absolute weight at that speed confused.

Hydratrak and non-Hydratrak have different final drive ratio thingamy I think. 4.2's could be either (as it was an option only) where I think all 4.5's are Hydratrak yes, non hydra is lower final so will impact top speed but aids acceleration biggrin

So its 81mph at 3k rpm, my speedo is accurate too thumbup.
I'll have to raise the 200mph quoted earlier to 202.5mph at 7k5rpm then, or if you want to apply a bit of mechanical sympathy you can come off the gas at 7407rpm in the comfort that you just hit 200mph hehe
