A few pics from earlier today

[Roosterbull]

Went up to Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds earlier today to test out my new Fuji FinePix S5800 and thought I'd share a few pics.

It was also an opportunity for me to get back into taking pictures as a hobby again. I studied photography up to HND level but I've not been taking many photos recently. Mainly why I finally decided to get myself a digital camera.

Any comments appreciated, good or bad!!

Love the B&W shots and angles used on the old place!

Brilliant place to capture

Thanks

Going to have a little play with some of the B+W shots as some have come out a little flat as it was a bit overcast. Lovely lighting after I'd finished obviously.

Its a really interesting place to shoot, so mnay hidden places.

Looks like a photogenic location!

Some nice shots.

I have to admit that, as so often, I picked one of your shots and started to do a bit of fiddling in Ye Olde Photoshoppe. When I finished I had something which was much more contrasty, perhaps some more punch - which I still think some of them could benefit from. However, my very sensible OH has told me in no uncertain terms that I've gone too far with it and the original is much better!

I dont mind you having a little play with them

Was planning on doing the same myself but not got round to it yet.

Would like to see what you came up with

I like it. Colours are a lot stronger and make it more eye catching. Good work
