Outrigger replacement - update

I visited RT Racing yesterday to see how my chassis work was going. Thought these photos may be of use to people having work done or contemplating. The quality of the work looks excellent. Bear in mind its only half way through and its not be properly painted and waxed yet.

New seat belt mounts. It was scary to think that the old mounts were held in place by only rusty, crumbly outriggers


New body mounts.

With any luck I will have the car back next weekend with a restored chassis - a rolling road tune up is next!

nice looking job grant

Grant its looking good.
Before the bonnet goes back on check out that radiator - check that it isn't anti freeze stain down the drivers side that you can see in the top pic.

Richard at RT is actually insisted on taking apart the front end whilst the bonnet is off for no extra charge.

The antifreeze stain you mention is actually my poor attempt at providing some protection to areas I couldn't see when I got the car. I sprayed wax oyl behind the rad edges as I could feel some flaking paint.
